So, I'm at my parent's house, looking through the freezer in the garage for something to thaw out for my mom's dinner. There's lots of pizzas, hot dogs, broccoli, bagels, and large frozen meals. I see two gallon Ziploc bags in the door with what looks like frost covered frozen shrimp. Hmmm...I wonder if I could break some off to thaw? Then I realize what I'm looking at. Frozen white mice. Lots and lots of them. For my father's two snakes. Ewwww! Now, I haven't looked at his snakes in a long time, but I'm pretty sure they're still small and skinny. They're in small aquariums on top of his dresser. It looked like there were enough mice in those bags to last a very long time. Have I mentioned my dad's a collector of things? I just didn't know it included mice.

It was a good day. I'm ready for some reading. Later!

I was pretty lenient about critters being brought into my house. But my son knew...NO SNAKES! I'm not afraid of snakes, but I just didn't want them to get loose and seek heat (we had a heated waterbed at the time). Knowing my son, he probably sneaked some in at some point. He always loved snakes!

Hmmm. As I was reading your posts, I was thinking.....in a movie, you'd find that the frozen shrimp was actually.......frozen fingers! Ta-da! But frozen mice is almost as good. So what did you thaw for dinner in the end?

ummm, thank you for that-- at 6 a.m :)) i don't think i will be hungry for the rest of the day.
did you check the snakes to see if they had been fed? maybe they're skinny-- and the mice freezer-burnt for a reason...?
eeewwweee.

Oh my god, I think I would have lost my lunch. I know they are frozen, but I am a freak that way about mice.

I like snakes, but I could never have one because of what you have to feed them. It was bad enough when we had frogs...

Oh that is funny!
My son had a boa when he was a kid that used to eat mice. The snake grow from mice to rats and then he gave Casey (the snake) away.
I thought it was pretty cool to watch Casey eat.

I thought snakes preferred their mice live. Maybe they perk up in the microwave. Ew. I like Soul's comment about the freezer burn.
Thursday's perfect. Where & when? Not my house yet. Okay?

I've been keep this away from fiwa's eyes.

Miss Lilly left a live one for me in the shower the other day. She slipped it in between partners shower and mine. I sceamed like a little girl in my best baritone voice.

Thank you for the card. It was in the mail last night. Your timing was perfect. XO

Yikes! Most of the other stuff in the freezer sounds just like mine. I love me a good frozen pizza.

Have a good evening. :)
