My sister pointed out that it's been a while since I blogged. Boy-o does time fly. Last week was up and it was down and ended up UP. When you're down, it's hard to be optimistic, even though you know that things work out. I really believe that things work out, but often it's hard to picture that when you're in the middle of it. Things at home could be better, and they will be. Think it and it will happen? I'm counting on that. I have to. You know what I mean.
I had a great weekend. Good company. Good food. Snow! Lots of coffee. Starbucks time with my laptop. Music. Grammy's. Etc.
I had lunch at Macaroni Grill with three friends that I hadn't seen in ages. Talk was all over the place, and it was wonderful to be together. I used to do color and cuts on each of them. Kim is living with cancer, and her beautiful hair is mostly gone. Susan and Judy go to someone from their church who is working three jobs to make ends meet, and they're helping her out by being her clients. Susan and Kim are stampers and Judy is a minister and they're all very, very funny. So, it was good times. I had a salad and a grilled chicken sandwich.
It was a busy day, and a weekend that seemed very long. Work starts tomorrow and I'm ready.

Friend time is usually really good time. I hope you get more of it often :-)
Enjoy your week my dear.
The power of positive thinking...it really does work.
I know the ups and downs, and I love the way that you manage to shake it off.
Happy Tuesday - Monday for you. Hugs. :)
I've always believed that things work out for the best...even though it may not seem so at the time.
yay for lunch with old friends!
A "down" time really does drain everyone. Glad to hear that you had a fun time with your three friends. Hope you have a good week.
Sorry about the 'down time', but am glad it ended on an 'up'. Did the salon close on Saturday? The lunch and camaraderie were just what you needed to begin a new week!
