Bad Blogger

My name is Cheryl and I'm a bad blogger.

I think the problem is two-fold. First, if I don't write regularly, I get out of the habit. And if I don't write, I forget the things I've done that are blog-worthy. Second, I don't think I've had anything interesting to say. Work is good, as usual. Busy. It's quiet in the house. The kids have been away the last few days, and Rob didn't come down this week. I don't mind being alone (though I miss them), so it's been OK. This sounds depressing, but I'm not depressed. I'm sitting on my porch right now eating potato chips, of all things. Now, that is depressing.

Consider this to be a filler post. I'll be back another day when I've had some caffeine.

This post made me smile, so it was a great post as far as I'm concerned! What I like more than anything is just knowing that my friends in the blogsphere are doing ok. What I have always admired most about you is that you seem to have created a life for yourself that you are truly happy with, not a whole lot of personal drama or angst. You have a lovely home that you've made so pretty, a gorgeous yard, a beautiful daughter that is nearly ready to fly the nest, and now a wonderful guy to keep you company! Such blessings, that so many would love to have. And most of all, you seem to keep your sense of balance and perspective and truly enjoy just swimming in the pool or sitting out in the yard (with a bag of chips no less!). So what if you don't have big stuff you feel is blogworthy? The truth is we love the small slices of everyday life that you share! I've gotten over feeling guilty if I don't blog on a daily basis, or if I take blog break now and then for lack of motivation. I write when the spirit moves me, and I'm ok with that! I hope you have an awesome summer. Is some beach time scheduled in?

Thank you Josie, for your wonderful words. I've been blessed with an optimistic spirit and a way of taking life in stride. I think I got that from my mom. Thanks Mom!

Beach time is approaching and I can't wait. I leave a week from tomorrow. You know how I love sitting on the beach all day under my umbrella.

I would like to write little things everyday. I might start to try that. Maybe a good thing for me right now. I missed you today. Some tough times right now but things will turn, they always do! Have a happy Friday :)

You have reminded me that the blog doesn't really have to be interesting, just write about my doings. Your filler blog today was perfect. Whatever your posts are, it is good to hear from you! Enjoy your quiet time. Hope your folks are well. Welcome back, I look forward to your next post (doings :)

I love potato chips, but find them addictive!

Cut yourself a break. With all that's been going on in your life you deserve some down time!!! Blogging can wait until you get your bearings!!

You know, I think we all feel like that at times. That's why I took a little break too.
But I love reading about your days even if not every day is exciting. That's life and we enjoy those every day things. Every day can't be filled with excitement - it would just be too exhausting!! : )
