06 April 2008

I got out and about today. It started out as a nasty, cold, rainy day. It ended without the rain, but not nice. Oh Spring, where art thou? I need some warmth to lift my spirits.

I met Kit at Panera's this morning. I told the barista that their lattes's are the best, but the one she made me was below par. Oh well. Still very tasty and I didn't get to tell her no whipped cream before it was too late. The creamy goodness of that made up for the rest of the drink.

I went to my mom's to do her hair color. For a change it got done before it was terrible. My sister Lisa came over and we got to hang out, which is something we don't do often. We both had a day of not much on the agenda. Lisa even made me a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. What a treat to have someone cook for me.

I ran to the grocery store then picked Emily up from her overnight at her friend's. The friend is here now. They're inseparable! They both got Blackjack II smartphones yesterday. I'm envious! I'm now on Emily's third discarded phone. I spent forever inputting all my phone numbers in her newest reject, and I plan to keep it for a while. Here's my latest phones:

The one on the left is the oldest and the one I switched to when I lost my phone. Notice the broken antennae? I put all my phone numbers in that one. Then Emily remembered she had a newer version. I switched to that one this week. Didn't transfer the numbers. Now that she has a new phone, I got the Razor that someone gave her. A modern phone! I also learned some texting shortcuts that I should have known about all along. It took a long time, but all my phone numbers are stored in this new phone, and now I just have to learn how to use it.

I made Fiwa's Chicken Stir-Fry for dinner tonight. Easy and delicious. I might try my hand at spaghetti tomorrow.

Well, it's late and I could use some beauty sleep. Catch ya'll later!

haha! Using your kids hand-me-down phone. Oh well, I don't even have a cell phone. Well I do, but it's one of those pre-pay ones.

I love hand me down phones. I get one for work all of the time. It doesn't bother me a bit. I guess that way, if it breaks, I don't feel as guilty. haha!

you mean I'll get my sons cell phones someday?? :)
If you save your address book entries to the SIM card rather then the phone, you can just switch the numbers by way of going into a providers store..they'll be able to do it for you.. Or, correction I think (early still for me one cup in of coffee) they'll be saved to your memory card so you just switch that.

Happy Monday!

Sounds like a lovely evening!!

Always,
Elizabeth

I just ordered a new phone on line and should be getting it any day. My husband has been using a Track pre pay phone for the last year and its great so I have decided to cancel my verizon account and get a Track phone too. I hardly ever use my phone so this is good for me. I can even keep my same phone number.

I'm lucky - I get a work issued cell phone. It's a razor like yours. Hey, if you figured out some texting shortcuts on that phone, I would love to hear them.

Isn't it nice to have someone else cook for you? Even if it's something as simple as a sandwich, it feels so decadent, doesn't it?

I'm glad you liked that chicken - it's pretty good considering how few ingredients and who quickly it cooks up.

I made spaghetti over the weekend and totally screwed it up. I don't know what was wrong with it - but it tasted nasty! I'm blaming it on the Wal-Mart hamburger meat. I really need to stop shopping there.

I hope you have a great week.
lovins,
fiwa

I'll have to try fiwa's chicken. It looks tasty. Jess has a razor. It fits in her pocket nicely. Hope you like it.

when my phone broke-- ok , when i dropped my phone in the dog water bowl-- they had to replace it-- and when i got the new one-- all they did was hook up some kind of cable from one to the other and all the numbers transferred automatically-- i didn't have to do a thing.. see if they'll do that for you-- it only takes a second --

anyhow-- sounds like a good day-- hope today is good to you too!

Ahh, technology. Isn't it wonderful? I am hoping this fall I will be able to upgrade. Then maybe I'll be "with it". ; )

Enjoy your phone and your evening!
