19 April 2008

It's 6:00 AM and I've been up for 3 hours. Wahhh! I was just exhausted last night after work. I had so much to do to get ready for my upcoming trip, but I couldn't do a thing to get ready. I woke this morning feeling good and refreshed. Till I looked at the clock and saw it was only 3:15. Try as I might, I couldn't fall back asleep. It might have to do with packing lists in my head and the thought of 2 new clients this morning starting at 8 and 9. And you know me and new clients. Anyway...I'm going to a 3 day haircutting class. Here's the info:

Classic Cutting I -- 3Days
Sharpen your craft through this intensive program designed to heighten awareness between cause and effect of haircutting. You'll learn the Artistic Disciplines that masters around the world employ as a foundation for their work. Gain a deeper understanding of "why". Experience the method behind the art of haircutting with pure form technique. Learn strategies that keep you and your work both fresh and consistent.
Who it's for: Any hairstylist.

This class is being held at the Graham Webb Academy. I've taken day classes before, but nothing like this. I'm really excited. One of my co-workers took this class a few years ago and said it really improved her skills. I'll be staying at a nearby Hyatt hotel withing sight of the DC landmarks. When I mentioned it to my friend Kit, she offered to split the hotel and just go to work from there. How's that for great? My classes end at 4-5 PM, so we'll be able to hang out in DC and Arlington in the evenings. We'll leave today when I get home from work and get back on Tuesday night. I'll be bringing my laptop, so I'll be in touch.

Have a great Saturday!

Have a really good time! Its funny you should mention 3:15am, Ben woke up screaming at that time, well, not screaming, but crying..so perhaps his cry carried to you?
:)

Have a great weekend!
A thoughtful Passover and I'll talk to you later!
Thank you again! :)

Love,

If I got up at 3 am I would be a zombie all day! I hate it when that happens.

Oh boy....I'm excited FOR you! I once went to a 3-day training seminar held in our State's capitol city. My co-worker and I had a ball. It was fun not only to learn something that would make us better at our jobs but also just to get away and see different things. I had steak every night....yum! The best thing yet was that our employer picked up the tab!
Have a wonderful time and be careful. I'm glad you won't be alone.
Take pictures!

Color me green. Wish I could spend a few days in and around DC. The Orleans is a steak house located just across the street from the Arlington Metro stop. It's been a while since I was there but I've had many wonderful meals there.

Learn a lot and have lots of fun. If you're in the Hyatt I think you are, you'll enjoy the stay.

Wow, I've missed you, but I haven't posted in a week. I was clutching to how good it was, so I didn't write. Something I did when I was traveling every weekend (plus) with Jess for softball, was I made inventory packing lists and kept them in my computer. I have one for my suitcase, one for my cosmetic bag, one for the car. I need to make one for a carry on bag. This way I never have to THINK.
