It looks like the start of another beautiful day. I just love spring, as most people do. A time of renewal. I'm so aware of the color of the grass, the trees, the sky. It's so welcoming after a long winter. I wish I didn't have to go to work. *Whine* I'll be working an hour and a half later than normal and won't get home till 7:00. Oh well, I am off tomorrow. That's a good thing.
For some reason I always picture Gene Wilder singing this song at this time of the year,
" In springtime, the only pretty ring time, When birds do sing, Hey ding a ding, ding. Sweet lovers love the spring. And therefore take the present time, With a hey, and a ho, and a hey hey-nonny-no, 35 For love is crownèd with the prime In springtime, the only pretty ring time, When birds do sing, Hey ding a ding, ding. Sweet lovers love the spring".
Too much Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory I guess. ;)
I just posted pics of my meager little attempt at trying to grow a garden on my balcony. I hope I won't kill them, otherwise I'll just have a bunch of pots full of dirt. :(
See, I much PREFER the ant hills and the holes. The boys spend HOURS trying to figure them out. Anything, anything at all that occupies the boys and doesn't involve FIRE or that might negate my homeowners policy is JUST FINE with me!
Your writing just gets better and better. I loved how you talked of spring. Keep it up and I hope you had a great day off today.
About the library...it is only a ten minute drive from my house and I should go more often. My ex-wife works there so I only go on days she is off. I look for her car! lol Oh well, it could be worse.
Take care gentle friend and I will talk to you again soon.
I have the perfect job for me. I choose to be a happy person. I have a 23
year old daughter, a mostly local family and some great friends. I live in a sun-filled home that I love. I love to learn. I'm easy to please. I'm not always what I seem.
