14 December 2007

Well, it turns out this sickness isn't the kind that goes away quickly. To look at me, you'd never know what's going on inside. Can't talk without sounding croaky. When I do try to talk, I have a cough. That just started tonight. So, I'm just going to smile a lot and be a silent hostess at my party. What else can you do? I'm not canceling. I have purposely stayed away from listening to the weather forecast. Cause I like the bliss that sometimes comes from ignorance. You know what I'm saying? I've heard bits and pieces about ice, snow, rain/snow line, etc for tomorrow night. That's all I'm saying.

Work wasn't too bad today. I only had one client too many, but he didn't know it. Tomorrow I work from 8-1:30. Can I say wahhh?

I worked on my Christmas cards this morning for about 2 hours. It was very therapeutic. They're almost done. I really didn't know if I'd get them done on time, but it looks like I will. I should be able to send them out on Monday.

Well, it's time for bed. Another early night. I wish I had some of that old-fashioned cough syrup. You know the kind I mean? I don't think they make it anymore. For good reason.

I went and bought some Christmas cards today and would like to send you one. Would you mind emailing me your address again, Cheryl? I seem to have misplaced it.

They are still predicting snow for us Saturday night, but say it will not stick or accumulate. As you may well know, I am excited a schoolboy getting a day off from school. Hopefully the weather will treat you and your party kind.

Take care friend and sleep well tonight. Get to feeling better soon. If I loved close, I would fix you up a care basket from Dad's pharmacy to bring to you. I loved that Bonnie did the same.

Poor Cheryl! I'm sorry you're still sick. Well I'm praying for a quick recovery in time to enjoy your party. Take some pictures for us!

I'm glad you liked the card. I didn't know how long it would take to get across the U.S.!

Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well.

Have you ever used Sudacare Shower Soothers? They are tablets that you use in the shower and as the water hits them it creates a vapor, that helps clear your senses. I have used them and they really work.

Just thought I would pass that on, in case you thought you might want to try them.

Good luck tomorrow!

I hope you have a great time at your party and get to feeling better soon.

Happy card making. I should be able to finish mine tonight and mailed off...well, if I could tear myself away from the computer that is.

As you requested, I will post an image after I know the people who read my blog receive theirs.

It is too bad that you are not all the way better for your party, it seems this "crud" that everyone is getting this year does hang on. Hopefully, this morning, you will feel alot better. Yes, i remember the cough syrup that you are talking about, and I think they do still make it, but it's now under lock and key, for good reason...

I hope your party is a really good time. :)

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl, they do still make the cough syrup but now it's kept behind the pharmacy counter. If you ask for it there I think you can get it but you have to sign for it. At least that's how it was a few months ago when Harry was under the weather.

I know your party will be wonderful. If I were there I'd be begging for an invitation.

Oh sweet lady, I hope the crud leaves you soon. Have you tried honey and lemon for your cough? I read something recently about honey being better for coughs than over the counter medicines - here's a link: http://www.abcnews.go.com/Health/ColdFlu/story?id=3947988&page=1

And I think the lemon is nice mixed in because it's not so sweet - and also the lemon helps cut phlegm.

I hope work goes by quickly for you today. Rest when you can and I'll be thinking about you.

lovins,
fiwa

Cheryl, I hope you don't have strep throat! The not being able to talk without coughing was a hallmark for me before I had my tonsils out. Maybe your throat is just inflamed and it'll settle down fast. Lots of hot liquids, maybe?

I don't like doing christmas cards. It's one of those things I procrastinate on and then I get all stressed out about not getting them out on time.

I hope you'll be back to full health soon!
Take Care
