OK...here it is. Warning: if you're on a diet, make sure you give away the leftovers, or you'll be sneaking into your refrigerator every chance you get with a fork in your hand. You'll chip away at it till it's gone. Then you'll cry. Then you'll make it again to bring to Aunt Betty's house just so you can eat more.

Banana Pecan Cream Pie
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 8-oz pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 8-oz tub Cool Whip, thawed, divided
3 large firm bananas, sliced
1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
1-1/3 cups cold milk
additional chopped pecans, optional

Combine flour, butter, and pecans. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip. Spread over the crust. Arrange bananas on top. In a bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk. Immediately pour over bananas. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Garnish with pecans if desired. Refrigerate until serving.

Funny I make the same thing except I use chocolate pudding and put chocolate shavings on top. Will have to try it this way.

I copied the recipe and plan to make it next weekend when the family gathers.

I'm glad it's time for the book club meeting to discuss Elsewhere. I'm interested in knowing if anyone, except me, thought the girl was in a coma.

You have a wonderful weekend planned. Enjoy each and every minute of it.

It's so nice to see recipes posted. I made your baked pineapple for Thanksgiving. It was the only thing I didn't have leftover. Don't tell me this pie is that good.

OMG, this looks amazing from the recipe. I have it safely copied and filed in my computer recipe folder! I have all the ingredients and even some bananas that will be banana bread fodder in a couple days...I'm betting they won't make it that far, since it's snowing here today and I have all the ingredients!! I just might make it today!

My man lovesLovesLOVES banana pie!!

Thanks a million,
Ginni

Sounds sooooo rich and yummy! I'll pass the recipe on to my sis in law who loves to bake. Take care!

Oh and yes, that was my son in the dryer pic. I took the pic and immediately launched into a lecture about safety. I'm such a mom.
