I....can't.....move.....

The painting is over. My friend and co-worker Joyce came over today to help me, which was so nice! I saw her online on facebook and started a chat, then called her. I was moaning and complaining and she offered to come over, and I said YES! I had already put the first coat on the kitchen. She did the hallway, and we did the bathroom together. After she left I got a second coat on the kitchen. Almost everything is put back into place. And, my initial feeling is I don't know that I'm loving it. Maybe if the family room were green too? Hmmm. It butts against a cocoa wall. Green and cocoa are quite a contrast. The bathroom is very green. Em loves it, which matters to me. I'm going to have to get used to it because I'm not painting again for a very long time. Except for the trim, which has to be done. I'll re-stamp the bathroom like it was before. I really liked that.

Before and after. That refrigerator needs to be cleaned off!

This is what I mean about the cocoa wall and the green one. Yow! What am I gonna do?

I'm not going to do anything. I have other fish to fry. Or something like that.

How was your weekend?

I REALLY like that! I think the two walls look just fine together. That color is so peaceful!

Nicely done, Cheryl.

I think the green/cocoa gives it some dimension. It's different, but not in a bad way. Seeing that you finished makes me want to finish my own painting. Maybe this weekend...

I really like the color. I do have an idea/suggestion - If I were you I'd paint the edges of the corner wall where the two colors meet. I'd paint a white stipe on both edges of that corner like 1 1/2" thick in the same white as the doors and trim. Instead of having the two colors meet it wouild define where one color ended and another began.

Or, leave it like it is. It looks great.

It looks good! I think your green just might be the same green as my kitchen. And, I don't mind the cocoa wall next to the green wall at all. Of course, I wouldn't because my walls are so many different colors. I tried to stay to a color scheme; I really did.

I don't think the cocoa and the green look bad butting up against each other.

Man, a friend who will come and help you paint... what an angel!

Brad said what I was thinking too...except my idea is...you can go to Home Depot and buy a corner strip that's made of plastic but looks like wood...you can get it in white or oak finish. Its a corner piece...so it would serve two purposes..protect your corner and divide the two colors. I would put white up there to match your other trim. Its very inexpensive and an easy solution.

Mark me down as another person who doesn't mind the cocoa and green together.

Congratulations on doing so much so fast.

Hey, I thought I wrote a comment here. I like the colors a lot. very warm. My colors butt against each other all over the house. I have no issues with touching colors. I'd leave it as is. so there. :)

I have a piece of trim where two colors meet between my dining area and living room...I also have a piece of trim in the corners and around the ceiling. It looks pretty good with the trim. Your colors look good together. I love the calmness of the green.

Well, I love the green! And for the living room, I vote for RED!!! Yup! just go bold! It's only paint, right?
A darker mocha would work too.
Your living room would have to get enough light to pull off a really warm color though.
Thanks for giving my mom a creative outlet for the afternoon!!
Take care!
