Well, work is taking it's toll. It's hard to go from over two weeks of complete leisure to a schedule where you're booked on the half hour for a full 8 hour day and every minute counts (thankfully I have a half-hour lunch break). If I run behind for 5 minutes, it's so hard to catch up and it can affect the rest of my day. I pride myself on staying on time, and my clients expect it. The late days are hardest, because my day starts early regardless of my work start. Mind you, I'm not complaining because you know I love my job. I'm just getting slammed this week. I work entirely on commission, and am very thankful that I'm so busy.
I just looked out on my deck cause I heard some knocking around and thought I'd find my squirrels up to no good. It was a very large blue jay pecking on the wood railing like a woodpecker. I wonder why? There's another blue jay on the deck, along with a pair of cardinals, a pair of morning doves, and a bunch of little songbirds. It's so nice to look outside and see all this activity. I have two woodpeckers that visit a lot. A little downy woodpecker that doesn't like any company on the bird feeder, and a big one that I don't know the name of. It's big and has a red cap, but no crest. I tried to look it up, but it was taking too long.
Well, time to finish getting ready for work. Hope you all have a great day.

Happy Sunday
I know this is a very common and well known Christmas Hymn and we may sing
it without paying attention to the beautiful words.

ahhh, Blue Jay's..whenever I see them I swear it's my grandma H visiting me. We used to sit for hours watching her little backyard bird sanctuary..and blue jays were her favorite...that's awesome!
I love birds...
Always,
Crusty~
I hope it settles down for you. Do you have a day off at all approaching this weekend?
Could your woodpecker be a Red-bellied Woodpecker? I don't know if you can put a link in here but I thought I would try. Here is a link to pictures of the woodpecker.

I tried and you can't click on the link. I guess you will have to copy and paste.
My mom has all sorts of birds and critters in her back yard. It's soothing isn't it? I think this weekend, I'll buy another feeder. The *one* I have stays way too busy for all my little friends to enjoy.
I hope you get a day of rest soon.
Hang in there. The weekend is almost here!
hope it's a good weekend:)
That whole work thing is so over-rated. Too bad we can't be on constant vacation...although that would probably get old too...
This must be contagious. Work's been superbusy here too. I'm glad but I can't help thinking "whoa, slow down a bit."
