Not my usual post, but something I'm passionate about. Recycling. I'm amazed that not every single person does it. It's so easy, and makes such a big impact. I went so far as to don latex gloves after my holiday party and go through the trash. All the paper and plastic plates, plastic cups, plastic forks and aluminum foil went into recycling. I had a bin set up next to my regular trash can, so most of the bottles and bottle tops were already in it. In the end, I had two full recycling containers and many cardboard boxes full of recyclable items. There was no doubt a big party was thrown at my house. Alongside all the paper, plastic, glass and metal was one half-filled bag of actual trash. I was very proud.
My county keeps adding items that can be recycled. Everything can be thrown together in the same bin. If in doubt, recycle it--they sort. Here's a link to my county's recycling program. That's it...I'll get off my soapbox now.
It was great to be at work today. Time flew by. I loved my time off, but realize I missed talking to people. Clients are great. They're there because they want to see you. They know your life, and you know theirs. It's like catching up with friends. I'm a luckie girlie. A tired one too. Later!

I can so relate! I went to a brunch one of my co-workers had this morning and it was so nice to see some of my work buds. I haven't seen them since Dec. 19th! I didn't realize how much I miss the interaction with these people at work. I will be glad to get back when I go on Jan. 5th.
We recycle. It's so important these days. When you think of the sheer volume of trash just one town generates, it's mind-boggling to think of what the whole country puts out there in the landfills! Our landfill has turned into a mountain...and there are no natural mountains around here!! I'll have to take a picture of it one of these days!!
Yes, we recycle. I'm trying to get a little greener all the time.
Wow - your county really takes a lot. We can't recycle the plastic items like bags and shrink wrap and flower pots yet. That will be nice when we can. But ours does take all food wastes in the yard waste now - even meat and bones. That has cut way back on our garbage.
I recycle - but it's strange to go home to texas and find that most of my family doesn't. :(
Do we ever recycle!!! Big time, girlfriend, big time!
I'll see you tomorrow at 10:30!
Absolutely! We recycle all of glass and plastic. I stopped using plastic shopping bags, and instead I have those re-usable shopping bags that I bring to the stores.
Yes ma'am, I recycle. I need to put an inside bin next to my garbage can -- it will help reduce trips to the outside official recycle can.
My longtime stylist is almost like a member of my family. She is going throug a really rough time now and I think about her often.
Yes, I recycle and hardly have any trash. We can throw everything together in one bin here too. They really make it easy for people to recycle even giving you the big bin.
I'm looking forward to becoming one of your clients. :-)
Yes we recycle too Cheryl...trying to be very diligent about it too...working on it..and trying to be as green as possible.
I loved this post! Yes, I recycle, and I so admire you for your efforts! I had to share this with my husband. He all but canceled out my efforts for the longest time, and even though he still doesn't really care, he finally got on board with me about it last year.
I recycle. I'm more obsessive than passionate about it. I do it because it adds order to my life/garbage.
