21 August 2007

Almost time to leave for my first day back to work. It's raining cats and dogs outside and should rain most of the day. I always worry about my first day back after vacation, and this has been a very long one. It's like I'm afraid I've forgotten how to do hair. After all these years. I fell asleep no problem, thank goodness. I woke up many times, and fooled my anxieties by making myself smile big. Then I'd fall right back asleep. So, I'm rested. My hair is 'done' for the first time since August 2. It was strange putting on make-up! I feel all fancy. I ironed clothes for today and tomorrow. I made my lunch yesterday. I think I'm ready. It will be a long day and I'm sure I'll be exhausted when I get home. I'll sleep well tonight.

I'm sure you will do fine. After all, you did keep cutting hair while on vacation. :-)

so, did that darned orange spot present itself to you and Em before the trip was over?
That's the main drawback of planning a vacation-having to return to work..in the rain nonetheless..what happens to that hair after it's been styled and so forth?
I hope your first day back is a good one!!
Always,
Crusty~
is that smell gone, yet? :)

I hope your fist day back was great. I have been thinking of you today and I know you will be tired. Drop us, your readers, a line if you don't feel too bushed. I have to have my nightly dose of Cheryl.

PS - The book you gave me has a new home in Atlanta. It has traveled many miles!!!

Glad you had a good break and glad to have you back. Thanks for the tip on the fortune cookie. All kinds of mischief is going through my mind.

You mean cutting hair isn't like riding a bike? =)

Ooooh... I love to read cookbooks too. What's your favorite?
Have you read Peg Bracken's "I hate to cook cookbook"? It's like Ermma Bombeck writing a cookbook, and the recipes are a tiny bit outdated because it was probably written in the 70s, but I've gotten a lot of really good ones from it.
