It's early Thursday morning, and I'm going to write a fast one here. Because this is not on the schedule of morning things to do and I don't have permission to be here. (Bad Cheryl). I just got a Gevalia coffee maker and had a large cup of their Espresso Roast coffee. Whoa. I totally feel like I'm on speed. Back to my point of writing. Emily just asked me, 'When you're alone in the house, do you talk out loud?' I told her that if I do something like trip, or forget something, or hurt myself, etc. that I cuss out loud. She was floored by that information as she's never heard me say a swear word in her life. I told her there's lots she doesn't know about me. Her first reaction? 'Oh my God!! When I'm not with you do you not use coupons???' I don't think I could have heard anything funnier. I had to write that down. Then she pestered me to tell her what she doesn't know about me. Funny how kids think they know you. She tried in vain to get information out of me. Finally she said, you still haven't told me about the coupons! Oh, that. Of course I use coupons. Doesn't she know me?

LOL. Good one. :) I just love the stuff kids say. My son is fascinated by my ever increasing white hair, and has asked me if my ink is running out.

That is funny that the most outrageous thing Emily can think of you doing when she is not there is... NOT USE COUPONS! When my kids want me to buy something they always ask "do you have a coupon?". What have we created here??? Will they rebel when they grow up by throwing away the coupon section of the Sunday paper without looking at it?

Haha. You have forever shaped our lives. No, we won't rebel, but never will I go to the grocery store without looking at the store adds, comparing them to the coupons I have, and not buying things if they're not on sale. But it's not a bad thing. It's fun (although other people find it rather amusing).

LOL That gave me the biggest smile. It is all grins here from ear to ear. I can just picture Emily asking you that. Kids can come up with the strangest questions sometimes.

Oh Emily. Don't worry. In a year or two, you will have things about yourself that your mother will have no clue about.

Sorry mom, but you know those years are coming. ;)

Is this one of those moments when kids suddenly realize that adults/parents really are human beings?

ha , ha!
